About Us
Leinster Council

Comhairle Laighean, the Leinster Council, operates under the guidance of An Coimisiún Le Rincí Gaelacha, the governing body for Irish dancing based in Dublin, Ireland. Our council is composed of dedicated teachers and lay members elected from across Leinster. Visit our Council page to learn more about our current members and their roles.
Our mission is to uphold and celebrate the rich traditions of Irish dancing, including step dancing, céilí dancing, and other forms of team dance, while also promoting the use and appreciation of the Irish language. Practically, we provide a structured environment for Irish dancing in Leinster, ensuring its growth and continuity.
Through representation at regular An Coimisiún meetings, we advocate for Leinster's teachers and dancers, ensuring that their voices are heard. Every year, Comhairle Laighean proudly organises and hosts Oireachtas Rince Laighean, in addition to coordinating regular grade exams.
This website serves as a central hub for everyone involved in Irish dancing in Leinster—from dancers and their families to registered teachers, adjudicators, and all enthusiasts of Irish dance.
Thank you for being part of our community!
On behalf of Comhairle Laighean,
